New Home!!

Finally!  I've got my real site up - it's only taken a couple years (it feels like).  Please go visit me at my new home:  www.gphotoco.com/blog.

thanks!

Baby Cora // Seattle Newborn Photographer

I had the privilege of photographing baby Cora a few weeks back.  She didn't really want to sleep too much, but was so adorable and had so much gorgeous hair.  She's a lucky girl to be born into a family like theirs.

Project 52: Week 39

With fall on its way and the sun starting to go down much earlier, I've started experimenting with some different light sources.  Expect to see more experimenting going on in the weeks to come!

Project 52: Weeks 37 & 38

Another time when I've slacked.  But now that summer is coming to an end I will have a little bit more time to dedicate to this project.  In the mean time, here are weeks 37 & 38.

Weeks 32, 33, 34, 35 & 36

Wow....I can't believe there are that many posts that I missed.  Did I count that right?  I might have to double check - I also did a terrible job of filing my photos and have been completely unorganized!  Things are starting to get back to a more regular pace for me, so one of my goals is to just make it through the year!!!

Project 52: Week 31

So this is a little bit late to post, but I have been keeping up with my photo a week challenge.  I'll be posting last week's shortly as well!  We've been having some amazing weather up in these parts - but today was a welcome change with a little bit of rain.  (We don't have air conditioning....)  Here's to remembering two weeks ago.

Project 52: Weeks 29 & 30

We were out of town over the last two weekends on our annual family vacation to Priest Lake, with hardly any cell or internet access, and it felt good to take a break from editing and posting weekly.  But then again, it feels good to be back in the swing of things.  Its amazing what being disconnected from the world can do for your soul, and how quickly you pick up where you left off.

Project 52: Week 28

The weeks are getting busier and busier as summer is now in full swing...but we are still finding time to go to the pool!

Project 52: Week 27

One of my favorite spots...

Project 52: Week 26

I'm calling it a win that I've made it half way through the year!  It's gone by so fast, and when this project is over I am going to really enjoy making an album and having an entire year in one book.

Project 52: Week 25

When summer comes to the pacific northwest, it really comes.  Today was absolutely gorgeous.  We got outside nice and early, the kids were in the little pool by 10AM.  Such a great morning.

Engaged: Mike & Mallory

So I have another sister-in-law who is engaged!  Mallory and Mike are getting married in January and I had the privilege of shooting some engagement photos for them, including their puppy (who is rapidly growing) Frank, aka Frank the Tank.  Mike and Mal, we wish you all the best and a future of love and happiness!

Project 52: Week 23 & 24

Last weekend my husband and I were out of town in Park City, UT shooting my cousin's wedding, so I didn't post week 23, even though I got a photo.  So, this weekend I'm posting week 23 and 24.  Simple moments are the ones I love.

Project 52: Week 22

Warm weather!!!  That's about all I have to say.  When the sun is shining, all you need is a mini pool, slide and hose.

Project 52: Week 21

Hard to believe we're getting close to the halfway mark.  I'm pretty happy that I've made it this far.  I've even thought to myself, "next year I'll do a 365 day photo project."  Then I quickly talk myself out of it.

Here's week 21.

Baby Jane

Baby Jane - she was the cutest, sweetest little thing I have seen in ages and she almost gave me some baby fever...

Project 52: Week 20

Popsicles are always good indoors.  Waiting for an exceptionally sunny day to have them outside too!

Project 52: Week 19

This weekend was good.  An amazing day was had at the park, spent exploring, showing their dad their new favorite hideouts.  Making new friends.  Soaking it al in.

Project 52: Week 18

Dark, rainy, dreary days call for indoor photos.  Here is week 18.

Me & Mine: April

Me and Mine is a monthly blog circle focusing on getting out from behind the camera, and getting in front of it.  I don't know why we, as photographers and mothers, tend to avoid the camera.  It's something I'm trying to change.  So another month of getting in front of the camera with one of my kids.  I find that its easier with my littlest since she is attached to my hip.  All the time.  Although, I must admit, I do love it.

(Also some funny things for me to remember...Olaf is a much loved character in the house now, but belongs to Keira's big sister...and the wine glass in the back is from the night before.  I wasn't day drinking people, ha!)

Now go take a look at Bobbi Jo's photo, and if you feel so inclined, hop in the frame yourself.

Project 52: Week 17

I'm starting to see a pattern...and that is that I am starting to fall behind on my 52 week project.  Still getting my photos taken, but just being late to post.  Here is week 17.

Project 52: Week 16

This is late getting up...the weekend was spent traveling, then when we got home, I got busy.  Typical excuses.  However, I (we..meaning my husband and I) did take out the camera this weekend.  This is actually a photo he took, but I'm using it for my week 16, because there was no way I was getting up at 5:15 in the morning to go fishing.  Which is what my husband and daughter did with my father last weekend.

Project 52: Week 15

Another week down, and this week we had some sunshine!  It's amazing what it does to you, to get a little Vitamin D.  I think all of us are happier when the season turns around here.

Project 52: Week 14

So we had a ton of rain.  I don't think I got outside at all this week other than walking to and from my car, how sad is that?  Oh well, it's forcing me to shoot indoors, and even though it's not my favorite, I'm still getting a few images that I love.  This project is all about expanding my horizons and pushing me, right??  I even missed focus on one of them, but still love it.  Here's week 14.
